HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR PHOTO SESSION

• Florida is hot so make sure you bring hand towels to dab off with as well as a cold bottle of water for each of you and also a snack as we will be shooting for two hours in the Florida sun.

• Try and stay away from patterned clothing or anything that has writing on it. Patterns can make you appear larger then you are in a picture and writing will take the focus off of you and put it on your clothing.

•Wear colors that compliment each other and also your location. Earth tones might go well in a forest but not so great for a sunset beach session.

•Yes, darker colors are more slimming however make sure your outfit choice blends well with whomever else is in the portrait session and also goes well with your location choice.

•To keep you look timeless go for simple cuts and solid prints. You can always dress up your look and add some style with some signature jewelry and accessories like a hat or jacket.

•If you do not like your arms in pictures consider bringing an open sweater or jacket. Layers are always a great idea.

• Stay away from self tanner it gives an un-natural look to your pictures and can bleed onto your clothes.

• Hire a professional hair and makeup artist who uses makeup specifically for photography. Hair and makeup is so important in regards to your photos. If you are one of our brides, your engagement session is a perfect time to do your run-through with your stylists. We work with some of the best Hair and makeup artists in town so feel free to message us if you would like a recommendation.

•Bring a touch-up makeup sponge and lipstick to freshen up your makeup throughout the shoot.

• Be careful trying any new hairstyles or cuts before your shoot. You know your favorite looks so I would not recommend experimenting the day of your session.

• Bring a change of Clothes. We typically recommend doing a business casual look like a blouse with your favorite jeans, heels and some accessories and then a semi-formal look. This will give you three looks total with your actual wedding day being your 3rd and most formal look.

• If you have some props including anything with your wedding date feel free to bring them.

• If you have a location in mind that's great, but if not don't worry as we have several to choose from.

•If you are wanting to wear heels I highly recommend bringing a pair of slip-on sandals as well for when we are walking long distances between locations.

•For our guys, If you choose to wear a fitted dress shirt I reccomend also bringing a suit jacket to hide any sweat stains

•It's always a great idea to have someone take some test pictures of you in your chosen outfits to see if you like the way you look in it before your session.
